As boring as it seems, I honestly can't think of many people who I would switch places with. I'm fairly content with my own life. However, if I had to pick one person, I think I would trade places with a good friend of mine named Dan Thompson. I would really only want his job and lifestyle though.
Dan is the chief editor and a writer for Connections Magazine which is published for the U.S. military members stationed in Europe. So Dan gets to live in Frankfurt, Germany, and takes long weekend trips all around Europe, Northern Africa, and even Asia to report on his experiences and if he recommends vacationing there or not. He writes his own ticket, and usually takes his fiancee, Nora, with him. His latest trips have been to Turkey, Morocco, and Nepal. I spent several months living in Germany and traveling around Europe but still want to go back; especially if I wouldn't have to pay for it and could take my girlfriend with me if I had Dan's job.
In all reality I couldn't be happier for Dan, and realize he's a self made man. He's always had a knack for writing, and already has a book published. I'm most impressed he's accomplished so much without a college education. He's had his share of raw deals and definitely deserves the break he got. Even so - I still want his job!
