Self Review by: B. Mitchell Book

I believe that I am a better reader than I am writer. This is probably because I read at least something everyday, whereas with writing I only write when I have to. I enjoy reading, but I feel like I read slower especially when I am reading for comprehension. Although I do feel the my reading speed has increased drastically over the past couple of years. When I am reading I really enjoy getting to know the characters and then comparing them to either myself or other people that I know.
I do not extremely dislike writing but I get annoyed at the amount of time and effort that it takes me. Maybe this is because I can be a perfectionist in certain things and therefore can be fairly picky about how my writing is structured. I do feel that I can create a pretty good finished product if I am able to put the time into it though.
When comparing the different forms of communicating, I believe that speaking is the easiest for me of the three. I think one of the main reasons that I have continued to grow in my ability to communicate through speech is the fact that I am married. I have experienced much growth in my ability to verbally express myself through my marriage. I have also found that good communication is vital to having a good marriage, and really any other good friendship or relationship.
