I believe the reason Aurelia does not call Marina by her name proper name is because she is very superstitious. She believes if she does this she will inform death where her daughter is. If this happens Aurelia is scared that death will try and take Marina once again. We all know that there is no person known as “death” but this is her lifestyle and the way she was raised. Aurelia’s culture is much different from many of ours.
I have been told the name “Ryan” is Irish and means “little King”. As far as the reason my parents gave me that name is a fairly simple one, it the only name they could agree on. My mother is Lithuanian and my father is Welsh and some other things that I am not a hundred percent sure of. Family history is a very interesting topic that I suggest everyone should look into at some point in their life.
