Meaning of a Name by Bryn Finucane

I'm not really sure why Aurelia would not call her daughter by her real name expect for the fact that she if very superstitious. She did not want death to find her daughter, she called her something else. She obviously believes in what she did, because her daughter did not die.
As for my name, I am not quite sure of it's full meaning anymore, although I used to know it. However, I do know that my name is very Irish. Bryn Aleen Finucane. Bryn comes from the Irish name Bryan which means "the strong" and Aleen, again very Irish, which means "the fair and good-looking." Although my last name is not well known as an Irish name in the United States, in Ireland it is very popular. My mom and dad decided to name me Bryn because they wanted very unique and different names for their daughters. Although the mispronunciation of my name has always been an issue, I LOVE my name. I rarely meet anyone else who is named Bryn, so I always knew when I was being addressed. I also have a nickname, but its more a term of endearment... Brynnie.
